sake stuff friday: shinkame shuzo & rethinking warm sake
A few weeks ago I was extremely lucky to spend time with a visiting Sake Brewery owner/brewer; Mr. Ogawahara from Shinkame Shuzo in Saitama. Mr. Ogawahara was in Boston to investigate the possibility of selling his Sake in the U.S. The challenge for him is that his Sake has to be served properly warmed. His excellent Sake made me realize that the common selling tactic of “cold Sake is high quality, warm Sake is cheap Sake” is not accurate.
It is excellent introduction to Kan-zake! I felt 16 minutes video in the blink of an eye. I have already sent some friends this URL. Thank you for your wonderful explanation and your passion for Sake.
Still haven’t found it in any of our regular spots, but I’ll keep looking. A few more places to try before I resort to rakuten.
